Default locking clarification

I may have just missed this in my scanning of the docs, but I'm trying to
figure out if NexusDB offers a locking mechanism similar to DBISAM's
optimistic locking (which locks an edited record on Post instead of on
Edit). Can anybody provide or point me to this information?

Thanks,
