Default NXServer lost configuration File and Alias Names

Hi all

Today the customer call me, well, NXServer no work, because lost the
configuration file and ALIAS NAMES... it is the second time in 15 days...
today the problem it is the energy break (I think).

How can I Save the configuration and Alias in INI files (for example) in my
Self_SERVER ?
One sample please...I have been looking nxServer, but is little confuse for
me...

thanks

NXServer 2.601

Use the menu "Settings/Save Settings to".

Yes it does write the setting periodically. I've an item to investigate on my
list if this can be avoided.

One of my clients lost all of their configuration settings too. I did as Hannes
suggested and, after restoring the aliases and settings, created an external
configuration file.

I'm uncertain exactly HOW the file was stuffed but I suspect that the client
tried to open a 2nd nxServer from the same location and closed the first
instance (with the correct settings) before closing the 2nd instance (which was
unable to use the settings).

Is there a polled update of the settings file which occurs every minute or so?
I ask because I was browsing the bin folder in detail view and the date
modified of the nxServer changed before my very eyes despite no-one changing
the nxServer settings. Are server stats written to it or something?

And turn OFF the Autosave option.

Hannes, there's still an issue with the server saving on a timer even when
the above option is off (I believe we have an issue # for that).

Just a shot in the dark...

Maybe automatic Windows Update is involved when a restart is necessary.

In at least one of them, the cause can have been the energy fall.

I would like to create my proper NXSERVER, but I do not know as I can load
the initial configurations (ALIASES etc).

NXServer source is little confuse to me.

Any simple sample please...
