Hello,
I recently began testing the Portal Host and Control programs. I have come across a small issue, and wanted to see if anyone could provide some insight as to what I am doing wrong. I have the gateway installed on a server, and both the Portal Host and Control connect and run great. My problem arises when I try to use the "View Desktop" feature from the Portal Control. It works perfectly until I do a "start > Lock" on the host's machine. I do see the Lock screen, but all mouse and keyboard input is disabled. Ideally, I would like to be able to send a Ctrl-Alt-Del, but what that seems to be doing is opening task manager behind the lock screen. I have the "aw_sas32.dll" in the same directory as the Portal Host application, and as I said everything works great, but I just can't seem to get anything to work once the user locks their computer. I am also using Windows 7 Professional 32-bit for both Portal Control and Portal Host. Any help would be wonderful, thank you! |

Are you running the Host as a normal windows application, or as a service? If you are running as a normal windows application, without elevated privileges, then the app likely does not have access to the lock screen. Try running the Host app as administrator, and see if that helps; or try starting the windows app using "run as administrator", then using the "Install" and "run" buttons to run the Host as a service. -- Eivind Bakkestuen [NDD] |
