With Version 2 we will be releasing an Enterprise edition of NexusDB. The
current "C/S" edition will be renamed the "C/S Developer" edition. There
will be three editions of NexusDB:

- NexusDB Embedded
- NexusDB C/S Developer
- NexusDB C/S Enterprise

NexusDB Developer and Embedded Editions
=======================================

NexusDB Embedded will have the same functionality as the C/S Developer
product, though without the transport components (thus limiting it to single
exe applications).

New features in the v2 core:

- Referential integrity
- Full-text engine using single-word indexing
- New fieldtypes
- Variable length keys
- Password-protected tables
- Variable length records
- RecNo support
- SQL supported in TnxDataset.Filter
- Field validation objects
- Conditional indices

New SQL features:

- UDF's
- Stored Procedures
- Triggers
- Transactional keywords
- Support for multiple databases in queries
- Enhanced live dataset support

NexusDB Enterprise Edition
==========================

NexusDB Enterprise edition will build upon the features of the Developer
edition and include the following.

New features in the v2 core:

- Bulk index operations (faster and while tables are in use)
- Fulltext search with bitmap index (full expression matching)
- Extended Autoinc sub-engine that reuses deleted keys
- Advanced user security
- Live backup scheduling built into the Nexus Server
- C/S/C Messaging and events
- Database replication
- Auditing

New SQL features:

- Views
- Sysadmin support (security keywords etc)

NexusDB Memory Manager
======================

All three versions of NexusDB will include the new Memory Manager:

- V2 out-performs even the current V1 MM
- scales extremely well on multi CPU systems
- includes a finer allocation granularity
- efficiently manages idle threads
- features a new built-in sharemem functionality (without requiring a DLL)

V2 of the NexusDB Memory Manager is currently in internal testing and will
be available soon as a separate product.


NexusDB ADO.NET Provider
========================

The NexusDB ADO.NET Provider V2 will be available later this year and
already includes two major new enhancements:

- a Visual Query Builder
- no need for Win32 DLL in the NexusDB edition for connecting to remote
servers


Although prices for the new versions have not been finalized yet, upgrades
from NexusDB C/S to NexusDB C/S Developer will not be more than $450. This,
