Hi team!
I just want to say thanks for the small but very hadly nxrecover tool... for what I can see in the docs, it renames automatically the tables, right? I'm downloading 2.07 right now and will try the nxrecover tool here and see how it goes. Thanks again! -- Rodrigo Gómez [NDX] Aguascalientes, México, -6 GMT |

Ok, not too much hassle. After uninstalling the previous version and installing
the new version, I got errors loading D7. Turns out the previous palette is still listed as an installed package. The 2.07 palette was available (though not enabled). Removing the 2.05 palette and enabling the 2.07 one was all that was needed. Additionally, anyone that uses the DAC for ReportBuilder will need a recompile/reinstall with the 207 files. Hi Nexus team
We have for a period had strange problems in databases, one like an insert generates 2 duplicated records in table. I assure you only one insert actually called. Other problems makes programs act in strange ways, is solved by recovering a table, but no errors ever reported in logs, no records failed. We hope this update solves these strange issues. We have a lot of programs that need to be updated (source maybe changed, compiled and distributed), many sql scripts to be changed (test on newer versions shows it uses more time than before to execute) and finally new nexus programs distributed. All in many customers which can only be dealt with outside normal opening time. Many big tables need to be run through this recover program. All in all a big job that would be nice to be able to split up over time. Can we install new version of nexus server, run the recover program and still use old programs (clients)? Or do we need to update all on same time? Thanks in advance! Bo Nielsen |

Bo You can definetley run the old clients, but we recommend to update the servers and do the recover as soon as possible. -- Hannes Danzl [NexusDB Developer] Newsgroup archive at http://www.tamaracka.com/search.htm |
