Default Is there a way to convert MSSQL .mdf files to .csv?

Looking for a way to convert *.mdf/*.ldf files to .csv to try
and import to NexusDB. I have MSSQL 2005 server, but have no
clue as how to use it. What I have seen with the script file
for these files I don't want to get anywhere near how this
MSSQL is used!! <G> Too spoiled by NexusDB..

Thanks

Perhaps your best bet is DataBase Workbench from Upscene Productions...

It has both an MSSL and NexusDB module ... and you can move tables from
one to another ...

It is a great product and very nice complement to Nexusdb....

Well I was hopeful that I would not have to spend much if possible
on just opening the file with M.S.SQL server 2005 that I have on my
computer. Not familiar with the server at all. Doing some googling
on the server it seems that I should be able to open the file, but
could not find good instructions on how to do it and/or I don't
understand some of it..

Thanks

I found this googling:

Run the query (SELECT * FROM tablename) to get all the data in Query
Analyzer, then copy and paste the results from there into Excel. Then
save as csv file type.

With the full version of NexusDB there is also an utility that could be
used to pump most ODBC databases over to NexusDB. In earlier versions I
think there is also one for free.

Look for Nexus Importer here:

The Version 2 and Version 3 servers can read Version 1 tables
without problem, but have a stronger limitation on field names.
Thus converting to V1 first and than manually solve problems with
a V1 Enterprise Manager is the most promissing way for conversion.

ODBC support is based on the BDE and thus might be a problem on
Vista and Windows 7

The link I pasted above is for a Datapump v. 2.05, so don't see the need
to use V.1 here.

It worked nice both with an access database and mysql database. But
maybe the original database has to be corrected with field names having
a blank or non-ascii characters.
