I am about to make a pitch to a customer to upgrade their existing system
from Flash Filer to NexusDB. However, they use Crystal Reports, which will require that they purchase the ODBC driver pack. I just wanted to make sure before I mentioned this to them that the ODBC drivers are ready for NexusDB version 2. Thanks, Jesse |

The driver is not yet released officially.
Hannes is investigating an issue with ado (i think) before making the final release. At the moment beta15 is available as a stable driver. Thomas. |

The V2 ODBC driver is an excellent driver. Ole |

If we were to make the purchase of the ODBC driver, would I be able to get
the beta to ensure that our customer could create Crystal Reports from our NexusDB data? This link seems to indicate that the driver is available, but Thomas says that it's not "officially released" yet. Jesse |

The beta driver is available for public. Check the beta.binaries group and see Hannes' announcement as of July 27, 2005. Thomas. |

Jesse, the driver is currently still in beta, while I'm trying to fix one last issue with widestring if the driver is called from ADO.NET. You can download the beta freely from the beta newsgroups on this server. The current one (beta15) has a time limit until October 15th. -- Hannes Danzl [NexusDB Developer] Newsgroup archive at http://www.tamaracka.com/search.htm |
