Benefits & Features of Nexus Portal
How to setup and use Nexus PortalDue to it's nature of being a fully flexible component set, Nexus Portal can be set up in a lot of different ways. We will look at a typical scenario here:![]() Set up the Portal Gateway on a PC inside your DMZ and set up your router to forward incoming connections to your new Gateway PC. Now you are ready to accept remote support calls from customers. When your customers need support, they will use Portal Host to connect to your Gateway. To access your customers PC, you will also connect to your Gateway with Portal Control, where you will see all your currently connected customers and be able to simply select a PC from the list to start Remote Desktop Control, File Transfer, Explorer and/or Chat. Using Portal Control, you will be able to see everything your customer sees on their screen and use your mouse and keyboard to control their PC as if you were sitting in front of it. You will also be able to chat with your customer, or browse through all their drives, files and folders remotely, download files or folders from their PC and send files or folders to your customers PC by using simple Drag&Drop. Enabling full drive access on Portal Host, you can also move, rename, delete and execute their files/folders remotely. And ... if you need to show one or more of your customers something on your screen, you can simply use the "Show My Desktop to Host" feature which is built into Portal Control. |
