Default Access violation when link with runtime packages = off

Hi,

I have problems with Nexus 4.0006 with RAD Studio (C++ Builder) XE6. When i deselect "Link with runtime packages" to create just a single exe for release, I get the following access violation exeption when starting/exiting a simple testprogram:
"Project Project1.exe raised exception class $C0000005 with message 'access violation at 0x00738369: write of address 0x008e0b90'."
The same example works fine if "Link with runtime packages" are checked.

I had problems installing Nexus 4.0006 as before, but using Rodriges mod of the compileall.Bat script i managed to get it working(except when "Link with runtime packages"=off).

It is important for us to get it working with a single exe file. It is working for all other components, except Nexus.

We are aware of the problem. It likely won't be fixed in the about to
be released XE7 update, but it is high on the list after that.

Hello Eivind,
you know, we are also very interested in solving this problem.
We used to have our own individual single file NexusDB server. But at
this time, with version 4.xx this is not possible. :-/
We have found out that this error has occurred for the first time
between the versions 3.1203 and 3.5130. I hope this helps you to find
the bug!?
It would be nice if the priority of the C ++ Builder support would be
increased somewhat. ;-)

Regards,
Holger

Any updates on this problem? I am getting closer to a release, and this is quite important.

I'll try and get this expedited, sorry about the delay.

Hello,
we also wait a few months for a solution of these problems, do you remember?
At our installation the problem first occurred with version 3.5130.
In Version 3.1203 everything works fine. You could check, what happens
in the time between these versions.
It would be great, if someone at NexusDB could spend time in this issue,
the C++ community will thank you. :-)

Cheers, Holger

Is there any plans for this issue? Haven't seen any updates on the issue tracker, or release notes.

It's been threading water just under the "really urgent" line. :/ I'm
about to finally get a new ADO Provider release out the door, after
that other things bubble up the stack.
