![]() This contains the classes TnxTableTest and TnxTableRestructure - the aim is
to provide a simple way of checking that nxtable structures are up to date and if not to restructure then. In FF I was using TablRest.pas to do this - this in an redevelopment of the ideas from that. They were written to allow me to automatically update tables as versions of my application changed. A test app is included which includes a progress gauge so that it should be fully functional The test app also includes a method of creating a table - I am not competing with Roberto Nicchi - this version matches old FF code I had and so simplified the task of converting an old FF app. It also takes pretty concise if you are hand coding new tables. The biggest limitation of the nxTableRestructure is that currently any modified field is moved to the end of the field list. For me this is more cosmetic than critical [There does not seem to be a equivalent to the FF DataDictionary.InsertField method in NexusDB] PS Restructure in NexusDB is FAST! Thanks again to the NexusDB team Richard Wilson |
