Default connection refused..

Firstly never used nexius before, this was goign to be a simple half day job..

1. Downlaoded ADO provider trail.. and ran installation script.
2. Loaded demo1 in vs 2010 ( had an old version around)..
3. Run nxEnterprisemanager app ( comes with nexius setup of client)..
4. Connected to database, with 3.
5. Extracted connected details of nexius server
6. Ran demo1 entered deatils from 5.

Open error?
What the?

+ $exception {"Couldn't (re)connect to the server: rnNo connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.1.102:16080"} System.Exception

connection string: "Server=nexusdb@192.168.1.102;Database=sfcas;Port= 16080;"

Even tried from below:
"Server=nexusdb@192.168.1.102;Database=sfcas;Port= 16080;Native=False;Embedded=False;"

If basic demo program cannot run?

No real docuementation..
Any clues?

Not sure client is going to fork out $400 on somthing which appears to not work,no support and cannot run out fo the box?

Try to copy the ADOServerConnectorV3.dll that comes with the provider
into the directory where nxServer.exe is. Also, make sure any firewall
doesn't block the port.

Default

Not the issue for this one..
Turns out the defaut demon is not usable, the second checkbix is waht is required..
But geting back to the DLL, thing, in 15 years never heard of a ADO provider that was not in the GAC..

This missing ddl,is quite stupid, I have spend many hrs messing about with various parms just to make a basic connection work..
I have never uised nexius, but have used many ADO and ODBC providers in th past they just work ou tof the box, not of this messing about, especially this DLL hell, even MSoft fioxed this some 10 years ago..

Something I do with outher ADO provdiers in less than 5 minutes, has taken over 5 hrs just to get to work... VERY poor..

Not happy..
