Default Time limited build 70 for testing available now

I've jsut uploaded a new build with

* a completely rewritten VS IDE integration
* fully rewritten schema support
* new VS IDE installation

Please test as much as you can, we are targeting to release the full version
soon after any problems are sorted out. Thanks!

Thanks for the Beta.

Just installed and IDE integration looks good.
But when i try to add a dataset with drag'n drop from the server
explorer, i get the message "error reading schema information".

When i use the assistant to add a table adapter, it fails with the
following message: "Error: Error: NexusDB <unnamed TnxQuery instance>:
Query preparation failed:
Syntax error at line 1 pos 37: <identifier>, <quoted_name> or
<quoted_name_temp> expected [$3CA1/15521]"

The select statement was: "SELECT ZEGVDATEN.KAS2.* FROM ZEGVDATEN.KAS2"

When i change the statement to "SELECT * FROM ZEGVDATEN.KAS2" the error
message is "Error reading table schema. Schema has incorrect number of
rows"

Best regards,

Arnd

Just found the reaons for the above problems!
The table was in NX1 format! When i use a table in NX2 format,
everything is ok.

Best regards,

Arnd

Two or three things here:
* is that with a newly created server exploror connection or
with one created with an older version
* if with an older can you try with a new one?
* I assume that is with a web project? VB or C#?
* can you forward that table to me please as well as a step by step
how to reproduce so I can taked a look?

Hi Hannes

Only have very limited time for testing right now but have a new
application starting in the new year which will very likely use this.

Installed seamlessly into VS2005 and VS2008. Threw together a test web
page with a grid displaying nexus table - only had to touch the
keyboard to supply hostname and alias. I'd say the IDE integration
works.

More meaningful test will follow in Jan/Feb...

Cheers
Dave

Hannes,

it seems that all works great. I test a connection with a few lines of
code and looks good.

I don't understand if I have to expect some components in the ToolBox
palette.

thanks

Great.

No, there aren't. VS 2005/2008 doesn't use components for databases access
directly. That said if you guys think that we should add them, it's not hard
to do.
