Default Unable to load DLL (NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBV1.dll)

Hi folks,

In Visual Studio .NET 2003, after I place a NexusDB connection component on
the form and right click to BuildConnectionString, I get a message that
says:

Unable to load DLL (NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBV1.dll)

I do know that it is located in the 'C:\Program
Files\NexusDB1\ADOProvider\bin' folder. Is there a setting I need to do?

Thanks

I got it working. I moved the NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBV1.dll to the
\System32 folder, and the BuildConnectionString loaded. My question is, are
we supposed to move this DLL file to the \System32 folder?

Normally not. The installer should add the path to the bin folder. Did you by
any chance install as different user?

No, I am the only user on my machine, and my machine only shows one user
when booting up. Is there a way I can change or add the path for the bin
folder? or maybe a reinstall might do it.

The installation *should* have simply added the bi folder to the user path.
Just go to ControlPanel/System/Advanced and press the EnvironmentVariables
button and add it either to the user or system path.

I went to the ControlPanel/System/Advanced and selected 'Environment
Variables' and added 'C:\Program Files\NexusDB1\ADOProvider\bin' to the
System path variable. I deleted the 'NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBV1.dll'
from the \Windows\System32 folder. But when I load a Nexus Project I get
the previous message like before. Using the User path gives me the same
result.

BTW, am I supposed to see a Nexus path in the User or System environment
variable?

For now I'll keep the 'NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBV1.dll' in the \System32
folder, so I can keep moving along with learning more about the NexusDB
ADO.NET provider

Are there any documents on how to develop an ASP.NET application using the
Nexus ADO Provider?
