Default CodeCharge and NexusDB

I just received the following from the CSS support group about a
probolem I reported when trying to use CodeCharge and NexusDB:

"Hello,

We have determined that the problem is related to Nexusdb ODBC driver
and we would need to make modifications in CCS to utilize Nexusdb ODBC
little differently from other ODBC drivers.
However, we don't have the Nexusdb database or ODBC driver, therefore we
cannot test and fix this problem. At this time we can only recommend
that you contact NextusDB to report this problem and ask if they would
be willing to provide their database and ODBC driver products that we
could use for testing.

We can also contact them, however, we don't know how to describe your
specific environment and database version. You are more familiar with
the specific database version and ODBC version that you are using. Plus
possibly NexusDB is aware of some issues with their driver and can
confirm them or provide a newer driver version.

Best regards,

Peter"

Hannes, I know you are busy as the dickens, but I think CodeCharge from
Yessoftware has nice potential for Nexus users... not for the really
heavy web users, but for a lot of the ad hoc web based stuff. So,
Please contact them by Email, Peter R at support@yessoftware.com and
provide them with whatever they need to get the problems fixed.

Thank you....

That's fine David. I'd need some more information though. Which exact version
are you using, if possible I'd like to have the same test cases as they have
to retest. Also I'll be releasing a new beta driver *very* soon so if you
could try that one before.

I've just recently fixed an issue that sounds like it could be part of the
issue there. As said, I'm very close to getting an updated driver out (not
talking weeks but maximum of some days). Can you please try with that, if it
doesn't work let me know and I'll get in contact with them.

Thye need NexusDB V2 a server, the EM and the ODBC driver so that they
can create some databases and test their product with yours...

I discovered and reported problems with quoted identifiers and quoted
keywords, but they have some other issues and need to be able to test.
They do not need source code ....

I will do ... but I think it is important for you to contact them and to
provide them with whatever they need to be able to say they are NexusDB
compatible. It just makes sense to do so....they will wind up as an
indirect advertiser of your product if they support it...

I know you are busy as hell ...

but have a nice day anwyway...

I understand. It's just that I only want to bother them about the issue IF
there really is still on. Your point about them having it marked as NexusDB
compatible is very good though!

The problems may be all theirs, but they can't test without access to
the software ... thus they need the server, em and odbc driver... then
they will get their product to work with NexusDB and it will be listed
in their literature....
