Default Encrypted Data Tables?

Does the ODBC driver support encrypted tables?

You can use the SQL

SET PASSWORDS

statement to do that: http://www.nexusdb.com/support/index.php?q=node/393

Using a custom driver you can also add passwords to the DSN. For more
information on that please contact sales.

Hannes,

Thanks... it turns out I wish I had just spoken DIRECTLY to the
customer's accountant who was using Crystal Report (instead of the
company's President)!

It turns out that the accountant (controller) has been using Crystal
Report for the last 10 years as a "data export" utility!

After talking with him this evening and ASSURING him that I could
"export" data from NexusDB to Excel, we both agreed to get rid of the
"middle man"!

So NO ODBC required!

Best Regards,

Shane

That's not the first time I hear that. Actually I'm seriously wondering how
many people use reporting tools for actual reporting as opposed to a fancy
export utility of data ...

That said, ODBC on it's own is a very good solution for exporting data to
programs like Excel, which is IMO a far better data presentation solution than
CR anyday.
