Default is "nxDatabase.Failsafe" = "Nexus Server-ForceFailSafe"?

Hi

Thinking in NON-explicit transactions:
Has "nxDatabase.Failse := True" the same effect in this database than
set ForceFailSafe in the Nexus Database Server?

IIRC, yes, but remember that if you set the server option, ALL database will
have that enabled.

But someone more educated should give you a definite answer.

Thanks Rodrigo, that's why I'm interested in use nxDatabase.Failse
rather than the server option.

can anyone confirm, please?

Yes, the server UI option affects all transactions in all databases.

No. The failsafe property of the TnxDatabase component currently only
affects explicit transactions.
The ForceFailSafe setting of the nxServer affects implicit transaction (e.g.
every post)

Thanks Eivind, but that is not the cuestion...

some threads ago Thorsten wrote:

even implicit transactions."

Ok, that's clear to me.

Now, the cuestion is:
if I set "nxDatabase.Failsafe := True", and the server option
"ForceFailsafe" is NOT active...
Are the *implicit* transactions still protected in *this* database?

I just want to know that to plan the best approach in my application to
protect the integrity of my database (as much as possible, apart
backups) using data-aware components.

Sorry I misread the question.

The answer is: no, if you leave the server setting off, and set
database.FailSafe on, then only explicit transactions are failsafe.
