Default Strange behavior in string field

Hi,

I've been a DBISAM user and am trying NexusDB for the first time. I've
made the most basic application (ServerEngine, Session, Database,
Table, and a DBGrid). I have two fields, a currency and a shortstring.
What is weird is that the currency works ok, but the string never
stores its value. As soon as I write a value and go to another record,
the field forgets its value. Perhaps I'm forgetting something?

Thanks and regards,
Alvaro.

That's indeed strange. How are you entering data? Via a grid? Edit boxes? Or
in code (can we see the code in question?)?

There was a problem like this in an earlier v2 beta, but its gone in the
latest. Which version are you testing with?

Hi Hannes, I don't know how to attach files here, but anyway my test
program is very simple, nothing special. It is just a form with a
TnxServerEngine, TnxSession, TnxDatabase, TnxTable, and a TDBGrid. It's
attached to a simple table in which I have created a currency field and
a shortstring field. When I run the program and start to enter data in
the grid, I see that the string field forgets its value as soon as I
move to another record, however the currency is stored correctly.
Weird, I wonder if it is a bug in Delphi 2005.

LOL. Sorry, the problem was in the table. When I defined it, i left the
"Units" of the string field with its default value. I never expected
that it default size would be zero (sorry, I'm new to NexusDB).
