David, a small ASP.NET C# project has been uploaded to the binaries
group, with the title "VS2010 ADO ASP.NET simple example".

It just uses a GridView component, with an example using a
SqlDataSource, and another using an ObjectDataSource, which also
includes paging support for the grid + SQL code required to achieve
this. Also, image display works in the ObjectDataSource grid (last
column on the grid).

I hope it makes some sense!

My problem is more basic than that. Even though I have the
ADO.Connector Running in my server, I do not see the provider in Visual
Studio. Thus I cannot configure it to look at my databases or tables....

I don't know what I am missing ...

I got it to work once before, but I tried so many things I do not know
what I did to get it to work.

When I click new connections, I do not see the Nexus provider....

Please check the following files (if they exist), and look for the
NexusDB entries:

'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CON FIG\machine.config':

Locate:
<DbProviderFactories>
....
<add name="NexusDB Data Provider" invariant="NexusDB.ADOProvider"
description=".Net Framework Data Provider for NexusDB"
type="NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBProviderFactory, NexusDB.ADOProvider,
Version=2.0.7.124, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=86f660e26976e61e" />
</DbProviderFactories>

and also
'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Con fig\machine.config'
<DbProviderFactories>
....
<add name="NexusDB Data Provider" invariant="NexusDB.ADOProvider"
description=".Net Framework Data Provider for NexusDB"
type="NexusDB.ADOProvider.NexusDBProviderFactory, NexusDB.ADOProvider,
Version=2.0.7.124, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=86f660e26976e61e"
/></DbProviderFactories>

I think you may be able to add those entries manually to see if they
work. Also, make sure VS2010 is closed before you attempt to make
modifications to these files.

If the entries are missing, then that may the reason why you can't see
NexusDB in VS2010.

thank you very much for the help. I did check the files and the entries
were there.

Finally I realized that the provider was simply not installed in the
IDE, the box indicating integration with the IDE had not been checked.
Once I re-installed the provider and checked that box, all went well and
I could see the product in visual studio 2010.

Now, if I could only see it in Visual Studio 2012, where I am trying to
learn C#....

That will have to wait until the next release....
